Barrie's oldest tattoo studio
Pushing Inc. Tattoo Emporium is the oldest and most credible tattoo studio in Barrie, Ontario. We specialize in custom work and cover-ups, and we don't start a tattoo until you love the design.
History
Six homes, one standard
- 1989
Pushing Inc. opens on a farm in Oro-Medonte.
- 1993
The studio moves into downtown Barrie on Dunlop Street.
- 2002
We move to Bayfield Street at the Five Points.
- 2008
After the Five Points fire in December 2007, we relocate to Rose Street.
- 2011
Perry retires, Jamie takes over, and the studio moves to East Street.
- 2018
We open our current studio at Mapleview Dr W and Essa Rd in February, and reintroduce professional piercing.

Safety is the standard
We helped develop Ontario's inspection and cleanliness standards, and we still hold ourselves to them on every client.
Single-use everything
Needles, tubes and tools are single-use and opened for you.
Set up in front of you
Every station is set up and torn down in front of each client, and surfaces are sanitized after every tattoo.
Certified staff
Our team holds blood-borne pathogen certification and belongs to professional tattoo associations.
